Participation in the 13th Biennal Conference EARLI 2009 requires EARLI membership (FULL or JURE member). You can apply for membership through the EARLI website or you can choose to have your membership included in the conference registration.
FeesIf you were already a member of EARLI in 2008 (FULL Member or JURE), you are entitled to a reduced conference fee of € 340.
If you were not a member in 2008, the conference fee is: € 383.
As a JURE member your conference fee for the EARLI 2009 Conference is € 180 if you were already a member of EARLI in 2008 (FULL Member or JURE). If not your conference fee is € 215.
Late registration
When you register on or after the early bird deadline, March 20th, 2009, the fee increases with € 100.
Membership 2009
If you are not an EARLI member (FULL or JURE) for 2009, the EARLI membership fee (67 euro for FULL member) will be charged in addition to the conference fee:
If you were a member of EARLI in 2008 (FULL or JURE), you pay the reduced conference fee of € 340 + € 67 membership fee = € 407 (+ € 100 in case of late registration).
If you were not an EARLI member in 2008, you will become a member in 2009 and you pay the conference fee of € 383 + 67 membership fee = € 450 (+ € 100 in case of late registration).

Overview of the conference fees for the 13th Biennal Conference EARLI 2009:
* For junior researchers, a reduced EARLI membership fee is applicable (the JURE membership fee of € 35 instead of the FULL membership fee of € 67).
** To be considered as a JURE member, membership application through the EARLI office is required, it is not possible to become a JURE member through conference registration.
Included in the EARLI 2009 conference fee: programme book, coffee/tea/lunch/receptions/surprise party.
Not included: Gala dinner party. Participants who want to join us during the gala dinner party must book for it separately. We will timely announce when you can book for the gala party.
The conference fees for the JURE Pre-Conference 2009 are:
€ 20,- for a JURE or FULL member in 2009
€ 50,- for a non member in 2009
The registration fee is € 20 for persons who are JURE or FULL EARLI member in 2009, and € 50 for all other participants. EARLI membership is not automatically included in the conference fee when you only register for the JURE conference (and not for the main EARLI conference). Included in the JURE conference fee: coffee and lunch on 24th of August, programme book.
EARLI membership
Information about EARLI (FULL and JURE) membership can be obtained from www.earli.org.
JURE membership
JURE membership requires an enrolment in a master or a PhD programme. Graduate students, who received their doctorate within the last two years, can also apply for JURE membership. JURE members are requested to provide the EARLI Officer within two weeks after their application with an official proof of their student status or with an official letter stating the year in which their PhD was received.
The JURE membership fee is € 35.
- Please note that in case of cancellation before May 15th, 2009 we charge 40% of the conference fee. A cancellation has to be done by sending an e-mail to: earli@ped.kuleuven.be
- After May 15th, 2009 there will be no refunds for cancelled registrations.
- There is no refund for the membership fee.
