Facilities during EARLI 2009 conference

Use of computers

During the conference a computer room with 60 computers is available for common use. With these computers you have access to the internet. Computers are available in room 1B14 (printing and copying is available with chipper in room 1B04). The rooms are open from 09.00-22.00 hr from Monday till Friday. On Saturday the room is open from 09.00-12.00 hr.

Internet

During the conference, wireless internet is available for all participants. With your laptop you can connect to the internet. In the conference bag you will find  your personal codes to log in. On this EARLI  2009 website you will find more information necessary for installing the wireless internet on your computer.

Printing and copying

On the VU campus many copy and print facilities are available in the main building, the MF building and the W&N building (see map). You can use the facilities with a chipper or copy card. A pre-paid chipper or a copy card can be bought at the VU Bookstore in the central hall of the main building (ground floor).

Bookstore

The VU bookstore is on the ground floor in the central hall of the main building, open daily from 09.00 – 19.00 hr. In the basement is Papier en zo. Here you can buy papers and office supplies, open daily from  09.00 – 18.00 hr.

Wardrobe/Lockers

A public wardrobe is available on the first floor next to the aula.
You will find lockers
1. in the main building under room KC-07 (400 units),
2. MF building; in the hall next tot room FG-2 (140 units); in the basement next to the cutting room (50 units)
3. W&N building;  in the G-hallway on the main floor (40 units)
You need a 2-euro coin to lock the locker, after which you can take out the key. If you open the locker your coin will be returned. Due to security reasons the lockers will all be emptied at night. All contents will be taken to the reception in the central hall of the main building. On returning the key you will get your belongings and coin back. The congress organisers are not responsible for lost or theft from the lockers or public wardrobe.

First Aid

First aid kit and AED is available at the reception in the central hall of the main building on the ground floor.

Lost and found

All found articles will be brought tot the reception in the central hall of the main building. For lost articles please contact the reception.

Coffee/tea/meals

Beside the coffee breaks and lunches offered during the conference, you can use the following facilities on your own account:
- in the central hall on the ground floor: Café DE; open Monday till Thursday from 08.30-19.00 hr, Friday from 08.30-16.30 hr.
- on the ground floor; the restaurant; open Monday till Thursday from 09.00-19.00 hr and Friday from 09.00-16.00 hr. Hot meals are served from 12.00-14.00 hr and 16.30-19.00 hr.
